Hi, I'm Tasha.
About Me
I’m an artist, Dzogchen Yogi, Buddhist lama, and writer exploring how wisdom reveals itself through modern life.
I’ve been a meditator for about twenty years (the last twelve in the direct-perception lineages of Dzogchen and Mahamudra). My root teacher is Lama Lena Yeshe Kaytup, who in 2020 gave me the name Lama Karma Jigme (Fearless Star) and the encouragement to teach.
My path is Rimé, gloriously non-sectarian, fed by many streams: I’ve also practiced and studied with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Tenzin Robert Thurman, Alexander Berzin, Keith Dowman, and Alan Wallace, among others. All of it grounds what I do now – teaching meditation, mentoring practitioners, building communities, and developing systems that help people understand their minds.
My art’s been an exploration, too. While I was quietly going deep in practice, I was also out on world stages as Tasha the Amazon, an award-winning rap, R&B, and electronic recording artist and stage-diving force. A bass-heavy meditation on aliveness and awareness in the thick of culture.
I stage dive less now… but nothing’s off the table. The stage and the cushion are both just places to pay attention.
Currently, I'm...

- Co-hosting the Mind Bod Adventure Pod with Jeff Warren, where we explore how practice can help us shape a kinder, saner, more creative world.
